Hankook has expanded its Dynapro line with the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme, an all-terrain, all-season tyre built specifically for camper vans, classic off-road vehicles and construction-site transporters, according to Hankook’s press release. It slots into the Dynapro family as an all-rounder positioned between the on-road-focused Dynapro HPX and the off-road specialist Dynapro MT2.
“With the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme, we are strengthening our position in the growing all-terrain segment by delivering a reliable, robust and comfortable solution for vehicles that switch between on-road and off-road use,” says Jongho Park, President of Hankook Tire Europe.

A Dynapro all-rounder, not a replacement
The Dynapro AT2 Xtreme does not replace the existing Dynapro AT2, which stays in the lineup for sizes up to 20 inches and remains the go-to option for many SUVs. The new Xtreme variant instead covers a narrower, more specialised range — 15 sizes between 15 and 17 inches, aimed at the classic 4×4 segment, campervans and light construction vehicles that see regular off-road use.
| Dynapro model | Positioning | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Dynapro HPX | On-road focused | SUVs mostly driven on paved roads |
| Dynapro AT2 Xtreme | All-rounder (new) | Camper vans, classic 4x4s, construction-site transporters |
| Dynapro AT2 | Broader size range, up to 20″ | Broader SUV use (on-road & light off-road) |
| Dynapro MT2 | Off-road specialist | Dedicated off-road vehicles |
Durability meets comfort
Hankook says the tyre’s shoulder design uses deep sidewall blocks to protect against cuts and damage during off-road driving, while a tread geometry with multi-directional sipes and grooves is designed to maintain traction even on snow. The Dynapro AT2 Xtreme carries 3PMSF certification (the mountain/snowflake symbol), meaning it is rated for winter use under demanding conditions rather than only summer or dry-weather traction.

Graduated block edges and additional tie-bars between tread blocks are intended to reduce driving noise and stabilise the tread. On the compound side, Hankook describes a newly developed mix using functionalised polymers for a more even silica distribution, plus particles designed to resist deformation and temperature extremes for added grip. The manufacturer attributes longer tread life compared with the predecessor to this “Max Mileage” technology, though it has not published specific mileage figures.
Who is this tyre for?
The Dynapro AT2 Xtreme targets owners who need a tyre that behaves predictably on tarmac during the week but can also handle gravel, mud or snow when the road ends — campervan owners, classic 4×4 enthusiasts and operators of construction-site transporters are among the named use cases. It competes in the premium all-terrain SUV segment alongside tyres such as the Continental CrossContact A/T², BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2, Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure and Falken WILDPEAK A/T.

Hankook announced the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme from its European headquarters in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, positioning it as an all-season tyre for drivers who “keep on driving — even when the road ends.” No pricing has been disclosed, and availability will follow Hankook’s usual regional rollout for the 15 launch sizes.
