Aimed at drivers seeking \u201creasonable performance at a reasonable price,\u201d the Polaris 6 brings several advancements to the budget tire segment, including electric vehicle (EV) compatibility and enhanced performance in snowy conditions. Now Barum published an interesting video interviews in Czech with the Head of Development, Zdenko Saso and Michal Mudr\u00e1k, the Program Manager, explaining the innovations and characteristics of the new tyre, which, as they said, took 5 years to develop with a core team of 20 people. Contintal, the mother company, uses for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe\u2019ve changed the tread design and improved mileage and traction properties thanks to a more aggressive, arrow-shaped tread pattern,\u201d<\/em> he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new design enhances grip on snowy surfaces, providing better control and safety during winter driving. It\u2019s prepared for electromobility,\u201d<\/em> said the head of development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means the tire is designed to handle the unique demands of electric vehicles, such as higher torque, increased weight and extending their range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Improved_EU_Tire_Label_Ratings\"><\/span>Improved EU Tire Label Ratings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe aimed to improve across most sizes. All sizes are in the \u2018B\u2019 category for noise and \u2018C\u2019 for wet grip. For rolling resistance, many sizes have moved up to \u2018B\u2019,\u201d<\/em> he detailed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barum focused on enhancing the tire\u2019s performance across key EU tire label categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Noise Level<\/strong>: All sizes have achieved a <strong>\u2018B\u2019 rating<\/strong>, which is really good for a winter tyre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Wet Grip<\/strong>: The tire maintains a solid <strong>\u2018C\u2019 rating<\/strong>, which is a standard for a budget winter tyre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Rolling Resistance<\/strong>: Many sizes have improved to a <strong>\u2018B\u2019 rating<\/strong>, contributing to better fuel efficiency. Some sizes are rated \u2018C\u2019, with very few in \u2018D\u2019.
